Datin Zemilah Mohd Noor Takes the Helm of EzriLaw’s Practice


EzriLaw Firm is pleased to announce the appointment of Datin Zemilah Mohd Noor as its new Practice Lead. As the firm approaches its 30-year milestone, this leadership transition marks an important chapter in its continued growth and evolution.


In her new role, Datin Zemilah will oversee the firm’s various practice departments and work closely with department heads to strengthen collaboration, consistency, and strategic direction across all areas of practice. Her leadership is expected to play a central role in shaping the firm’s professional development and operational alignment moving forward.


Datin Zemilah’s leadership qualities have long been evident, especially through her remarkable stewardship of the Global Banking and Corporate Commercial Team. Her dedication and clarity of direction have continuously elevated the team’s achievements and set a strong benchmark for leadership within the firm.


With an impressive legal career spanning over three decades, Datin Zemilah was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1995. She holds an LLB (Hons.) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and has since built an extensive portfolio in Project & Real Estate, Islamic Finance & Banking, Commercial matters, Start-ups, and Advisory work. As a senior partner of EzriLaw Firm, her expertise and strategic insight have been instrumental to the firm’s growth.


Her influence extends beyond the firm through her active roles within the Malaysian Bar. She is currently the Co-Chair of the Bar Council Conveyancing Practice Committee and serves on several key committees, including the Conveyancing Practice Subcommittee of the Penang Bar, the Bar Council Islamic Finance Committee, and as a Disciplinary Committee Member of the Advocates & Solicitors Disciplinary Board of Malaysia. Her engagements with government agencies and her consistent contributions as a speaker and panelist at national seminars further underscore her commitment to elevating the conveyancing practice in Malaysia.


Looking ahead, Datin Zemilah has expressed her intention to review and refine EzriLaw Firm’s practice structures, enhance inter-departmental coordination, and introduce initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, knowledge sharing, and professional growth within the firm.
